Waterlooville Junior Chess Club:

We are one of the largest junior chess clubs in Hampshire, with a membership of about 50.

We meet here every Friday during school term from 16:30 to 18:30 to play a mixture of tournaments, leagues and fun chess.

Membership is open to boys and girls from ages from 7 to 18 and we cater for all standards from beginner to County players.

Development:

Chess coaching is available at the club for those who are keen to improve their standard of play.

There are lots of opportunities to play in local competitions, including the British Land UK Chess Challenge, Portsmouth's Dupree and Phylis Loe tournaments and, if selected, Hampshire County matches.

How to Join:

You are welcome to come along to the club for a free session on any evening we meet.

There is sometimes a waiting list to join, but currently there are a few spare spaces. 

Membership costs £12 per school term.
